This book shows us what happened in WW II without even being non-fiction. Textbooks are great but they don't show us the emotion that people faced and the circumstances they had. It showed us the fear people had every day and it showed us the strength of love.

I agree, Brennan. It gives us a deeper understanding of what was really happening in the time period, and although it was a fiction book,it was very powerful and got it's message across very clearly.

I also agree with Brennan. This book is full of emotion, and just like Brennan said, a textbook just cannot relay that to us, they only give us the facts. Reading this book not only made me realize what happened to the Germans during World War II, but it really made me realize how lucky and blessed my life truly is.
