I really like how the author gives us background on each character, what importance they have, and how each piece fits together.
I like the way each piece of the story falls into place in an order that we can understand, revealing the plot and eventually the resolution.
In response to Kate's comment: I agree because their background can tell you a lot about what they stand for and what their attitude is towards the 3rd Reich.
I think the author gives us a good description of the setting. He describes it in a creative way that makes you think outside of the box.
